Truths can set us free

Truths can set us free, once we are motivated to learn again, like the open minded children we were. We are no longer free, we are asleep, because everything we have been taught by the society is a conditioning program devised to keep us asleep. Rather than question what we were taught, we tend to defend what we believe.

I teach simple truths which can free us from our misery and sufferings. I can help you wake up, because I have awakened. I know how we evolve and how we can free our minds. We can learn to be present, loving, peaceful, and content.

I recently read, “A Long Way Gone”, a book about how an innocent boy in Sierra Leone became a terrifying soldier and was rehabilitated a few years later. He had to learn, It wasn’t your fault. This point is appropriate for us all, because we were all raised in an insane loveless world. Our programmed mindset is not our fault, and it is not who we really are.

Awakening to our political situation, realizing truths about a system that no longer serves us, is easier than realizing truths about ourselves. We blame our stress, addictions, anxiety, and depression on politics, and on causes outside of ourselves, because we have yet to learn to take responsibility for our feelings.

I am Arthur D. Saftlas, also known as Nirvan, a name given to me by the enlightened master Osho. I do not diagnose you (label you mentally ill), or prescribe medications (that only block symptoms), or commiserate with you endlessly about issues (there are no end to issues). I know the causes of our misery and sufferings. I am a master, a seeker of truth for 46 years. I began teaching in 1985, shortly after my awakening. Only your open mind is needed for you to awaken.

I teach truths that heal suffering

Emerson wrote, “Most men live lives of quiet desperation”. I observe we suffer, without acknowledging we suffer. It is normal to answer the question, How are you?, with I’m ok, Not too bad. The math is simple, closed minds suffer, a mind open to truths does not suffer. One challenge is, we believe we are open minded, when we are not. Imagine asking the most closed minded individual you have ever met, Are you open minded? We all know he answers, Yes.

Why do we resist truths?

Doris Lessing wrote, “This world is allergic to the truth”. We resist any truth that disagrees with our mindset, even when we know that our mindset creates our suffering. We are attached to what we have always believed to be true, we abhor being wrong. Our resistance to any truth is painful, because we refuse to be confused. As we become more open minded, we realize Letting Go is letting go of lies.

Why are we afraid of truths?

The consciousness of this world has been the same for thousands of years. The reason why nothing changes, why the insanity of wars and suffering continue is because the mindset of most everyone is conditioned against realizing any truth. This scenario continues, because perceiving any truth scares us to death.

We believe who we are is our thinking and we believe what we think is true and right. This is our identity and what we know. We feel secure and comfortable with what we know, even when we observe that how we are causes us discomfort and suffering. We are firmly attached and identified with what we think, believe, and know. We react to any disagreement about what we think, believe, and know as an insult, a personal affront to who we are.

All that we believe and think we know is a house of cards; our ego mind is fragile, easily upset, and our grounding is shaky, because it is not based on anything solid. Any truth scares us to death, because the fear of death is the fear of losing all that we know.

The very good news is that once we get over our fear of death, which is the same as our fear of meditation, we are open to learn again. This is why my first enlightened teacher used to say, “Just be willing to die”.

What is awakening to truths about?

Awakening is becoming aware of who you really are, by letting go of who you are not. It is more about unlearning than learning. This becomes easy, once you realize what you must let go of is a worthless program. Awakening is about bringing the light of awareness to presence, joy, love, and creativity. What I have just described is the essence of meditation.

How do you teach?

I am an intuitive healer; I am able to clearly observe, hear, and understand you. I share truths with you, from an intuitive and insightful gift of communication, that are both challenging and sensitive to what you are capable of integrating.

I teach you meditations with a clear orientation, so you can trust the method and realize what it is about. Millions have tried to meditate without any orientation or guidance; disappointed, they naturally gave up on it.

Where do you teach?

I work in person in the San Francisco Bay Area, and by email, Skype, and by phone. I am open to answering your questions, feel free to contact me to discover how I can help you.
